Studio 101 was designed for a wellness brand looking to create a space that felt more elevated than a typical fitness studio. The goal was to move away from the cold, high-intensity feel often associated with exercise environments and instead build something that felt calm, intentional, and inviting from the moment clients arrived. It needed to support movement and energy while still offering a sense of pause, clarity, and ease.

Planning played a major role in shaping how the studio would be experienced. Because the space needed to support reception, waiting, movement, changing, and active class zones, the layout was carefully organised to feel intuitive without becoming overly rigid. Each function was given clarity while still flowing naturally into the next, helping the studio feel cohesive and easy to navigate.

This was particularly important in managing the shift between the more social front-of-house spaces and the quieter, more inward-focused studio rooms. Rather than creating an abrupt divide, the design allowed for a gradual transition in mood through lighting, materiality, and pacing. The result is a space that feels thoughtfully sequenced, guiding visitors from arrival into a more centred, immersive experience.
