The Shoreline Villa was envisioned as a home that could fully embrace its coastal setting without leaning into anything too literal or overly styled. The property already had an enviable relationship with light, air, and view, but the interior needed a stronger sense of calm and cohesion to match the beauty of its surroundings. The aim was to create a residence that felt elegant and expansive while still carrying the softness and ease expected of a home by the sea.

A key part of the project involved refining the flow between interior and exterior living. Because the villa was designed to open generously onto terraces and poolside areas, it was important that these transitions felt natural rather than abrupt. The planning focused on creating continuity between indoor and outdoor zones so that entertaining, relaxing, and daily living could move easily from one to the other.

Material selection played a defining role in establishing the villa’s atmosphere. Pale timber, soft stone, lime-washed surfaces, and natural woven textures were layered throughout the home to create a palette that feels warm, airy, and tactile. These choices helped the interior feel grounded and inviting, preventing the larger open spaces from becoming too stark or impersonal.

The main living areas were designed to feel social, spacious, and effortlessly comfortable. In the lounge, dining, and kitchen spaces, the focus was on creating an environment that could support both quiet family life and larger gatherings without losing its sense of polish. Low, sculptural furnishings and softer silhouettes were chosen to balance the architecture and maintain an easy, relaxed tone throughout.
